The Foundation Print

The Foundation Print was created as part of the ‘Motheo Collection’ which launched
for Autumn-Winter 2022. The collection name means ‘foundation’ in Setswana (Neo’s
home language). Behind this collection was an acknowledgement of the place that
shaped Neo into the woman she has become. The lines and shapes were taken from
the railings and flooring in Neo’s former apartment building. Situated just outside the
Joburg CBD, the attributes of the concrete inspired deep reflection. An apartment
that almost felt like a prison (and even looked like one) became a monument for
development and discovering purpose. Sometimes it is in the quiet and uncomfortable spaces where one begins to realise why they were made and what
they are meant to bring into the world. The colours added to what was a grey and
drab image are an expression of hope and appreciation for a place and season of
refinement and answered questions. Spending time in that apartment clarified the
vision of the NEO brand and gave it room to soar. This piece is a reminder to honour
the importance of building a good foundation – though it takes the longest, it is deep
and intentional work that guarantees reward.

The Foundation Print is available in Pastel, Luminous or Earthy tones.

Delivery

Designs are printed and framed upon order, this will take approximately 10 weeks to
deliver countrywide (South Africa). International orders may take longer to arrive.
