Our Story

NEO is more than a fashion label — it’s a love letter to the Motherland, told through luxury streetwear and African-inspired design.

Founded by Neo Victoria Rangaka, a Johannesburg-born creative with a global worldview shaped by living in Amsterdam and Nigeria and traveling widely, NEO exists to challenge the narrow stories often told about Africa. Neo discovered early on that no matter how legendary the destinations, there is no place like home — and that truth is stitched into every piece we create.

Our Mission

"We believe style can be a mirror, a message, and a legacy. And we’re passionate about shaping community and generating generational wealth, one African-inspired piece at a time."

Neo’s journey in fashion began as a child, cutting out looks from her mother’s magazines and creating her own mini lookbooks — a gift nurtured by the women in her family. After completing high school, she trained at Villioti Fashion Institute, later gaining luxury retail experience at Burberry Hyde Park, before stepping into the industry as a stylist and fashion consultant.

In 2017, Neo founded BLVNK — envisioned as a “blank canvas” where Africans could tell their stories, interpreted through clothing. A year later, BLVNK evolved into its own luxury streetwear brand with Neo as creative director. In time, she rebranded to NEO as an act of ownership: stepping into the light she once hid from, and inspiring others to recognise the light within themselves.
